This development programme fully equips participants with the skills and behaviours to enable them to coach effectively in the workplace. It is aimed at leaders, managers, employees and professionals who have, or wish to make coaching a core part of their role.
This blended virtual modular programme focuses on core coaching skill development, supported application to the workplace, regular supervision and feedback. The programme is delivered virtually and can be run on a one to one or small group basis. It provides high levels of professional tutor access and support. It consists of pre-work, virtual sessions and discussions, activities, coach practice, reading, tutor support and supervision.

To get the most from these development events candidates are required to:
- Allocate time to prepare for and undertake virtual development sessions
- Undertake all pre-work
- Be present in the sessions and take part in discussions, asking questions to develop own knowledge
- Practice some personal reflection from the virtual modules and coaching practice to enhance own learning
- Candidates on the coaching workshop have the opportunity to coach a couple of people and discuss their experiences with the supervisor
- Programme candidates to complete reflection activity following each of their coaching sessions and take part in a Supervision Session

Frequently Asked Questions
How long do I have to complete the training?
The tutor on the training will discuss how you want to complete the programme. You will then agree to dates and times and the pre-work will be sent out in line with the agreed dates. We recognise that situations change and if you need to rearrange a module that can be accommodated. Ideally, we encourage candidates to complete their training 3 months for the programme. This keeps the learning fresh.
What is the assessment process?
What does it mean in small groups or one-to-one?
How is learning undertaken in the training?
Discussions and activities during modules to consider coaching and its application. Candidates will also undertake coaching practice and receive feedback on their coaching. For the programme to embed the coaching skills candidates undertake practice coaching in their workplace, then reflect on this and discuss the coaching with the Supervisor.
