WORKSHOP PRE-WORK

All Abintus coaching workshops have pre-work for delegates to undertake. This may consist of articles, links, case studies or videos to watch. We find that the pre-work enables much richer and enlightening conversations to take place in the actual workshops.

COACHING PRACTICE AND REFLECTION

All Abintus coaching development incorporates practice and reflection. Coaching is a skill and set of behaviours that require practical application and psychological processing if it is to be used effectively in real time in organisations. We always encourage time away from training to practice the skills in their roles and reflect on this. The reflection allows delegates to more critically examine their practice, understand it better and identify ways to develop it further. Abintus will happily facilitate this practice and reflection with your coaches, on-site, via a Teams call, by setting up a specific webinar, or face-to-face.

Abintus always encourages potential clients to avoid selecting a supplier that doesn’t offer practice and reflection as part of the development. If it doesn’t happen, coaching will never embed and will be a waste of money. Delegates will return to their old patterns of behaviour.

COACHING CPD

To support the ongoing development of your coaches, we encourage the use of CPD. Our CPD sessions can be ‘off the shelf’ or designed to your own specifications. CPD is delivered online or in person. The sessions prove to bolster the leader as a coach, and pool coach enthusiasm, engagement and professionalism. CPD topics include:

  • Systemic thinking in coaching
  • Developing deeper questioning skills
  • Clean Language
  • Honing your contracting skills to build psychological safety and relationship development
  • Developing creativity through your coaching
  • Coaching ethically
  • Coaching tools and approaches
  • Managing values and biases in coaching conversations

Client feedback

Motivational and energising

“Nick is an engaging and charismatic trainer, which is a massive benefit when you are spending three days on a course. This was a great training session that was pitched at the correct level and was motivational and energising.”

– Corporate training attendee

Freed up my time to develop my leadership skills and grow within my role

“Over the past six months, I’ve had the chance to reflect on how I work, and it didn’t take long to realise that the reason I struggled to make time for coaching at first was because I wasn’t working efficiently. With support from Nick I’ve focused on key areas that enabled me step back from the day-to-day operations, giving me more space to be an effective manager. That, in turn, has freed up time to develop my leadership skills and grow within my role. I understand there is a long way to go and this will be a continuous and evolving process. The impact on me in such a short space of time has been incredibly positive. My work life balance is back on track which is brilliant. The monthly meetings with Nick made me maintain focus and reflect regularly. My line manager has fed back to me that she has noticed some really positive changes in my approach to work and managing my time more effectively as well.”

– 1:1 Coaching client

Applicable, interactive and challenging

“My aim after this course is to set my team up for success. Nick is an amazing trainer, very engaged and created a safe and open environment where everyone could share their own experience from which we could learn and grow. He provided valuable insights and made this course applicable, interactive, he challenged our own assumptions and gave us tools to become better coaches.”
